This week has been electric with anticipation of a major upcoming trip. Here's what's buzzing through my head:

On Saturday, I gave Matt and Jen a date night while I babysat Avery. Though they saw a good movie and ate a great sushi meal, I think I scored the better end of the deal. Matt had left a huge pan of delicious baked ziti on top of the stove, made with all local ingredients found in their Brooklyn neighborhood. Before indulging in two bowls of it, I had a couple hours to play with the cutest gal around. Avery and I had a pretty fabulous date night ourselves. PS - if you're looking for new baby books, Is Your Mama a Llama is a clear favorite - I read it three times. |

This sauce is the BUSINESS. Most chocolate sauces aren't dark chocolate, so it wins points right off the bat. But then to add sea salt caramel?! In love. |

The biggest thing going on in my life right now is my upcoming trip to Israel with Birthright. Everything I've heard has led me to believe that this will be the trip of a lifetime. Over the course of 10 days, I'll trek all across the country and experience a culture that is vastly different from my own. I leave on Sunday and am about ready to jump out of my skin. I don't fully know what to expect so I can't wait to get back and tell you all about it. Don't worry, I've been stockpiling blog posts that will automatically upload while I'm away so it's not like I'm leaving you high and dry. |
